Swartz First Baptist voluntarily cooperates with the Southern Baptist Convention (national), the Louisiana Baptist Convention (state), and the Northeast Louisiana Baptist Association (local).  It is through these alignments that Swartz FBC joins other Southern Baptist churches to support ministries and mission efforts locally, in the state and nation, and throughout the world. Even though Swartz FBC is aligned with these groups, Southern Baptist churches are considered autonomous units.  Each church, under the leadership and guidance of God, makes their own decisions about staff, ministries, budgets, buildings and policies. SFBC is supported financially by the tithes and offerings of its members. Each member has a vote and a say in how the church accomplishes its purposes and mission.
