Swartz First Baptist Church's
Children's & Preschool ministry exists to supplement the family in its effort to
establish a solid spiritual foundation that will lead children into a personal
relationship with Christ and equip them to become His disciples.
In Sunday School children have the opportunity to explore
Gods Word to discover not only what they should know, but also what they should do
and who they should be. Our children's and preschool Sunday School is age-graded, allowing
children the opportunity to learn at their developmental level. Sunday School meets each
Sunday morning after worship.
Also, while children are learning, their parents have the opportunity to
hear Gods Word and build relationships in classes with other parents (called Adult
Bible Fellowships). We offer mens, ladies, or co-ed classes where all can
learn the truth of Gods Word in a safe end encouraging environment.
Awana is a children's ministry that emphasizes Scripture
memorization, teamwork, achievement and fun! Awana features:
- Bible teaching, worship, and awards presentations
- Small group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons
- Age-appropriate games on the Awana game circle
Awana meets on Sunday evenings while school is in session from 5:00 - 7:00
p.m. We have Puggles (birth - 2 years olds), Cubbies (for 2 thru 4 year olds), Sparks
(kindergarten thru 2nd grade) and T&T (3rd & 4th grade). Click on the logo to go
to the Awana Clubs web site (will open in a new window).
FLyTe
is a new ministry dedicated to 5th & 6th graders. These preteens are making choices
about serious things like who to trust and what to believe. They live online and need help
to understand the world of information and images that are available at their fingertips.
FLyTe is new Sunday evening (5:00 - 7:00 p.m.) ministry to help preteens wrestle with the
issues and to find guidance in God's Word. FLyTe (faith. life. together.) combines the
solid application of the Bible to real life circumstances along with a little zaniness
(fun).
Special Events such as Vacation Bible School (usually the first full week of
June) and our annual Fall Carnival provide additional opportunities for children
and preschoolers.
